South Tyrolean culinary art
Whenever a dish is prepared in South Tyrol, there is always a piece of alpine tradition in there, while the Mediterranean influence provides its light delicacy. This fusion gives place to a raffinate and concrete cuisine based on regional products. The Belvedere half-board serves in the morning a rich breakfast – of course, with the best products that the region has to offer. And in the evening, one can enjoy the 5-courses choice menu in our panoramic restaurant.
The particularity of Belvedere’s enjoyment? Everything is fresh, light, and compact. Prepared following old recipes, with all the love of South Tyrolean quality products and fresh herbs. Refined with noble oils which enhance the natural taste of the individual foods.
Sustainable enjoyment à la Belvedere
South Tyrol’s varied QUALITY PRODUCTS are the core of our menus. Our land’s bio cuisine combines the best of two worlds: the Mediterranean lightness together with the alpine taste. The BASIS OF THE SOUTH TYROLEAN CUISINE are built by fresh, regional, and seasonal products, each carefully prepared. By using such local ingredients, we are able to guarantee a pleasant taste and the highest quality. Good, healthy, sustainable, that’s our motto!

Breakfast with panoramic view
In the Belvedere we give priority to the highest quality and local suppliers. Enjoy and choose between dishes which are both delicious and regional at the same time. The crispy bread of the village’s bakery, homemade bread from our own kitchen, sweet pastries, and jams. The local cheese is produces by our favourite farmers, spiced sausages, and ham by the village’s butcher, then there’s freshly prepared egg dishes, seasonal fruits, freshly pressed juices, yoghurt, muesli, and much more from our “neighbours”. And thanks to the mild climate, you can enjoy a sunny spot in our panoramic terrace already from May!

Frieda's Fine Dining Restaurant
Our kitchen team’s creativity charms daily in our restaurant Frieda’s with South Tyrolean culinary art: from the tasty alpine dishes to the light Mediterranean ones. Traditional meals are refined, newly interpreted, and rebuilt. It was indeed Grandma Frieda who took the reins of the hotel in the 1960s. Since then, a lot has changed – but not the mouth-watering cuisine nor the breath-taking view…

BelBar specials
To taste and enjoy at the Bel Bar: fruity juices or refreshing cocktails with home-made syrups. Or rather a limoncello, prepared from scratch? Environmentally friendly: that could be our 0-km beer, just like the whiskey from South Tyrol’s smallest town, or even the ‘Spitzen-Gin’ from mt. Salten’s treetops. Look forward to different kinds of gradations – each top-quality, sustainable, local.
Surprise menu
Would you like to enjoy a special evening in the atmospheric Ambiente in the wooden traditional “Stube”, part of our FRIEDA’S FINE DINING RESTAURANT? But of course! As an upgrade of the classic half-board, the surprise 5-courses menu can be reserves for a supplement of 75,00€/person. Look forward to moments of pure bliss!
About Frieda’s
It was Grandma Frieda who took the reins of this hotel. Together with her husband, she managed to broaden its reputation past Bolzano city’s borders. It became a popular destination for not only for the breath-taking view, but also its delicious cuisine. Today, the ORIGINAL WOODEN “STUBE” narrates stories of the past, when the hotel was called “Nice Calmness”. It still is calm – and the dishes are just as good. Refined and modernized – fresh and regional, light and concrete.
- 0-km beer: a pleasant cocktail-like drink, produced by Guggenbräu in Afing (one of Jenesien’s fractions)
- Local Gins from distillery Schwarzbrennerei in Mölten with ‘Spitzen-Gin’, and much more
- Hard liquors from distilleries Walcher in Eppan and Unterthurner in Marling
- Whiskey from South Tyrol’s smallest city - Glurns: brand Puni

- Limoncello, prepared from scratch
- All decorations, like dried lemons or oranges, are prepared in our kitchen after being harvested directly from our garden

Regional sustainability
The culinary and natural variety South Tyrol offers is a treasure that we keep to share with you. In choosing our suppliers, we pay attention not only to top quality but also to sustainability and short delivery channels. We know our local farmers and producers personally and are able to influence cultivation as well as how animals are kept and fed.
